Mien Tay is one of the worst reviewed Vietnamese restaurant in London.
And I could see why. The service is non-existent, some dishes have no soul and the interior is outdated.
But I still go occasionally, not because Benedict Cumberbatch visited. It is cause some of the dishes are just so good.

Mien Tay London is on the famous Pho Mile, Kingsland road. There are many Vietnamese owned small businesses and almost all of the Vietnamese restaurants are excellent.
One thing that is slightly different about Mien Tay is that it has expanded to four different locations.
Every restaurant has their own charm and Mien Tay is no different.
With extensive menu with vegan friendly dishes, almost everybody can get what they want. But not everything is equally good. So let me narrow down Mien Tay Menu and what dishes you have to have.
Best Dishes on the Menu
Mien Tay London is known to serve free prawn crackers and orange (at the end of meal). I know it is not a big deal, but it still is something that provides a better experience.
Especially when the service is non-existent.
Bun Bo Hue Is The Most Popular Dish at Mien Tay
One of the most popular dish among all my friends is their Bun Bo Hue. And I do too.
Bun Bo Hue at Mien Tay uses thin round noodles (Song Que uses thicker round noodles) which is a lot easier.
Also the soup is a lot heavier which is perfect for after heavy drinking.
But they tend to slightly over cook the noodles and if you like it less bloated Tay Do is also a great choice.
