7 Asian Breakfast in London That Opens Before 9AM

There isn’t many Asian breakfast in London that opens before 9AM. So I found all of it and made a list. It includes Chinese, Japanese and Indian food.

I couldn’t find more than 7 restaurants that open early for breakfast in London, but if you know anymore than the list below, please leave us a comment so we can add to the list.

Ting Restaurant (Southwark)

The first Asian restaurant in London that serves breakfast was Ting restaurant inside of Shangri-la hotel.

To be honest, The food at Ting Restaurant was quite disappointing for how much it is (42 pounds).

The Asian corner just had congee section and the western buffet was just mediocre. I probably had equal quality breakfast at Radisson Blue.

But the pros are that view is absolutely stunning. There isn’t any other hotel that can match the view like that.

How do you benefit from getting the view, but eat cheap? Check out my related post.

Also, they do have a la carte menu. You can find more info below related post.

Opening Times :

  • Monday – Friday 07:00 – 10:30
  • Saturday – Sunday 07:00 – 11:00

Far East Chinese (China Town)

In my opinion, Far East Chinese is a much better option.

It doesn’t open as early as 7:00AM like Ting Restaurant, but for mere 4.5 pounds, you can get a much better congee.

You can click the image below to check the menu.

Far East Chinese also has a lot more variety of choices like noodle soups to dumplings.

Opening Times :

  • Monday-Sunday 09:00 – 03:00

Marugame (Waterloo Station)

Marugame is a Japanese udon restaurant chain in Japan which has expanded to all over London.

And now Marugame serves breakfast (currently only Waterloo station location).

I am not sure the exact opening time for Marugume, but they open from 8:00AM. I assume they would serve it till 11:30AM.

You can find the full menu and more info below related post.

Koya Ko (Soho, Broadway Market)

Koya is another Japanese udon restaurant.

bacon, egg and butter udon for breakfast. Similar to Benedict udon from Marugame

They also serve breakfast like Marugame, but the difference is that they also have home cook meal style breakfast as well (a.k.a. Mackerel with rice).

They have two locations :

  • Hackney location only serves breakfast on the weekend (Saturday & Sunda) from 10:00AM – 11:59AM.
  • Koya Soho serves breakfast every day (Monday – Sunday) from 10:00AM – 11:59AM.

And you find more about it below related post.

Nobu Hotel (Shoreditch)

I love Nobu hotel in general. The hotel has the zen vibe and even it is in a chaotic city, you feel like you are having a vacation.

And they don’t just serve buffet, but some of Nobu’s signature dishes like scarmbled egg donburi (You can actually find his recipe online like here and here).

Dishoom (Multiple Location)

The last Asian restaurant that serves breakfast is Dishoom

They serve Indian food and breakfast is a bit more fusion. But they are absolutely tasty.

Many people say it is not authentic, but it is one of the restaurants I always bring my friends when they visit from Korea (One of the biggest reason is Koreans are not familiar with Indian food, and I feel like it is a great entry to Indian food).
