Is Ting Restaurant in Shard worth 40 pounds for breakfast menu? Let me say this. It depends.

First, I wrote a blog post about all the Asian restaurants that serves breakfast, it Ting restaurant was the first.
Hear me out.
Ting Restaurant
Ting Restaurant is part of Shangri-La hotel inside the Shard on 35th floor.
The restaurant is famous for their Afternoon tea with an Asian (like a slight touch) food touch.
Shangri-La The Shard breakfast
The buffet is £42 with “Asian Corner.” It is not my word but the website’s discription.
I think Asian corner menu changes. Sometimes they would have dimsum but sometimes not.
They will always have congee though, and you can customize as you want.
I put like three thousand year egg in it lol.
Below is the western buffet at Ting restaurant.
To be honest, I would’ve thought the breakfast at a five star hotel would be better than this. Esepcially when you have to pay 42 pounds (excluding service charge).
It was just as good as a standard hotel like Radison Bleu or Hilton hotel breakfast.
One good thing is the view. Especially when you can see the sunset. It was absolutely stunning.
You can also get a la carte menu with :
- Plain Congee £7
- Mushroom & Sweetcorn Congee £9
- Ginger Chicken Congee £11
And here is the catch.
Tips at Ting Restaurant
If you are traveling and planning to go to view from the shard, having breakfast at Ting and see the sunset is a great idea.
You don’t have to have buffet. You can just have some a-la-carte menu, you know.
I will be a lot cheaper than spending 40 pounds on a view and not get any food.
If you go to Ting, you can get food and see the view with lesser price.
Or if you are more of sunset person, you can go to Gong or Sky Lounge at Shangri-La hotel.
Opening Time
Monday-Friday 07:00-10:30 Saturday-Sunday 07:00-11:00
