How to Try Jean Georges' ABC Cocina with not Spending Your Salary

If you walk pass 19th st and Broadway, you will see all kinds of ABCs. ABC Kitchen, ABC Market, ABC Carpet (Coming Soon) and our little sweet ABC Cocina. Basically, the street is an ABC land (It’s part of Jean-Georges restaurants) like Shondaland on ABC Thursdays. Jean George is a Michelin star chef and owns few Michelin restaurants in America. However, it doesn’t mean that you cannot try one of his restaurants without dropping few hundreds. ABC Cocina promises you with excellent quality Latin American food, and still affordable compared to other Michelin star restaurants, but a bit more expensive than other local Latin American restaurants.

You won’t need to spend your rent money to go to Jean Georges Restaurant cause there is a way!

Walk through ABC market, you will find ABC Kitchen and Cocina. Kitchen is more expensive than Cocina, but I would say it doesn’t always mean that more expensive the better. ABC Kitchen might be classier but Cocina gives you all the saliva drooling you didn’t get from McDonalds last night at 3AM after being wasted – oopsie, was I talking about myself. But seriously, with all the bar snacks as a main course, this is like heaven.

Before the on going obsessions with fried chicken, pizzas, bbq and hamburgers becoming more high end Like Momofuku or Spotted Pig, lovely tacos have pioneered it’s way for comfort food to become elegant. I am not saying Jean George created the taco obsession, but he definitely validates that people will pay for the high end price for a great taco.

Anyhoo, I want to say that don’t just walk pass ABC market because the kitchenware is absolutely amazing. It brings out my inner Catskill hipster. I mean not that I could afford it.

Anyhoo 2, I was quite surprised to see a packed restaurant on a Monday especially a place that is proper sitdown! emoji. You will definitely have to reserve before you go. Among all these fabulous, cool, hip people, we were seated next to a loud self-claimed New Yorker. Couldn’t help but listen to her VERY amazing life…

ABC Cocina is the most reasonable Jean-Georges restaurant where it exceeds in taste and style

Anyhoo 3, It is tapas style, so you will have to order at least three dishes per person. And btw, don’t order the cuban sandwich. It was my mistake to order it, but I wasn’t impressed. sorry gurl. The restaurant is more reasonable than other Jean Georges restaurant, so if you wanted to try his restaurant go to ABC Cocina!
