Where To Stay in Busan
Busan is the second biggest city in Korea and finding the right neighborhood is really important unless you will be wasting time traveling.
The best area to stay in Busan will be Haeundae. It is where the famous beach is at. Also a lot of good restaurants and bars are around there. During summer time, traffic will be horrendous to even get into the Haeundae, so staying near the beach is the best choice.
Staying in Haeundae in Busan Will Save You the Headache During Peak Season with Horrendous Traffic
I stayed at the Park Hyatt Busan which is only 15 minute walk from Haeundae beach. There are other hotels like Paradise hotel and The Westin which are actually right adjacent to the beach.
But the Park Hyatt Busan probably is the best and you can read more about it here why I think it’s the best!

Trying Dweji Gookbab
Busan Dweji Gookbab (부산 돼지 국밥)
A trip to Busan wouldn’t be complete without trying out dwaeji gookbab (돼지 국밥). It is pork soup mixed with rice. It is one of the most popular and well known comfort food in Busan. And also all over Korea.
It takes hours of boiling the Pork bone to make it a thick and milky broth. It is mixed with pork shank and other parts of pork meat. You can put spicy sauce to make it spicy as well. We have asked our friend from college which is the best Gookbab, and she told us Busan Dweji Gookbab which is not far from Busan Station.

I have already wrote about Haeundae Somunnan Amso Galbi on a different blog post. But I am writing it again because it is the best in Korea!

Korean BBQ is very well known internationally. But having galbi in Seoul is so expensive, I rarely eat it. But Amso Galbi is half the price on what you would pay in Seoul. So, if you are visiting Busan, definitely try Amso Gabli. Also, you have to call and reserve your gabli to get the best (only the non-marinated gabli).

Gaemi jib (개미집)
This is something you can only try it in Busan. Also, it is only for the adventurous travelers who can like spicy food. It is basically a octopus, pig intestine and sprimp mixed with spicy sauce boiled in hot pot in front of you.
It was one of the best food I had in Korea which was tasty and hearty, I ended up having two bowls of rice mixed with the sauce. And the best part is you can mix it with ramen.
