According to My Thai Local Friend, 6 Best restaurants in Bangkok 2022

I have listed the best restaurants in Bangkok (2022 updated) according to my Thai local friends.

Many of the restaurants are trendy and popular among Thai locals, so if you are looking for Thai restaurants that travellers have to go, check the related post below.

You can use my Google map to check all the restaurants.

CHARM

Charm is my favorite Thai restaurant in Bangkok. They sell home cooking style Thai food, and it is absolutely gorgeous.

Charm is a young and trendy restaurant where all the millennial local thais come and hang. So at night it becomes really busy with live music.

I felt like I finally found a restaurant that is not swamped with travelers but with locals with great food.

If you are having hard time having Thai food,  and want some Western food this is also a great place to come as well. I had carbonara and was perfect!

Anyways, I have been to Charm almost three times while I was visiting Bangkok.

NEVER ENDING SUMMER

Never Ending Summer is a perfect place for your Instagram. It is modern, trendy and symmetrical.

Not only their ambiance is excellent, but their food is perfect.

The fried rice with spicy peppers were the bomb.

The peppers were so spicy that within few hours I had to go to the bathroom for emergency.

that spicy pepper that nearly killed me lol

Also, their signature dish crab omelets is something I always dreamt of. They are not cheap on the crabs and the omelets is gigantic. The only problem is that it was around 30 dollars for the crab omelet.

Around Never Ending story has cute shops and gallery where you can stroll around the neighbourhood. Take your time and enjoy it.

SON BOON SEAFOOD

If you are in Thailand, you must have some fresh seafood. After asking around I decided to try Son Boon Seafood.

One of my favorite Thai food is the soft shell crab with curry sauce, and they do it so good. It can be pricey but you can always order enough rice to fill you up lol.

One of the things that I did not like was the river Langoustine. It is my personal taste, but it smelt a little bit too much of a seafood.

DEAN AND DELUCA

I lived in Soho for six month and I loved going to Dean and Deluca for an overpriced coffee before going to work.

Bangkok, I was surprised to see so many Dean and Deluca around the city. I thought it was a thing that you can do it in Soho ONLY. Apparently the company is sold to a Thai person.

Dean and Deluca in Bangkok is more than just a supermarket. They actually serve excellent food.

Of course they have a deli section where you can get it for to go, but the best is their pizza and pasta. Don’t get me wrong. I am not a person who can’t handle foreign food, but Dean and Deluca pasta was so good, I ended up ordering every kind of pasta on the menu.

Also I ended up ordering a pizza to eat in the room.

Best Food at Silom Complex

There are so many amazing mall in Thailand and the best thing is that it is all connected to public transportations.

The ones I visited the most were Silom Complex and Siam Paragon (I have written about Siam Paragon on a separate blog post).

There are several good restaurants in Silom Complex.

The most popular one is Peppery Thai Bistro. I asked all my friends on Instagram, and this restaurant was on the top 5.

I could see why. It was not only cute but the food was really good. The cheese and the pepper made it wonderful.

The next is Leam Charoen Seafood. It wasn’t as good as Son Boon Seafood, but it was cheaper and faster to eat.

Street Food

If you are into street food, Thailand has one of the best. I

was once drunk once and ordered 30 porkbelly sticks.

I finished the whole thing, and then the next day I had one of the worst stomachache lol. It was so good though I went back and ordered again the next day.

sausage stall where they deep fry it for you!

7/11

This is not really a restaurant, but at 7/11 have amazing collection of food.

I love their seaweed chips that you can eat the whole bag in 5 minutes.

but the best thing is their cheesy sandwich. You can eaither have sausage or ham.
