Is Gokyuzu Turkish Restaurant London the Best or Not?

On my Tiktok, many people recommended me to try several restaurants in Green Lanes, Harringay. And one restaurant got the most vote. It was Gokyuzu Turkish restaurant London. So I went and checked it out.

Gokyuzu Turkish Restaurant London

Gokyuzu has grown into a conglomerate with 4 branches (You can check out the locations here). And every one of the restaurant is massive.

I went to Gokyuzu Harringay which was closest to me and the area is known to be Little Istanbul where you can find other amazing Turkish restaurants.

I made a separate blog about Little Istanbul if you want to check it out.

Some people said that because it has gone so popular, that they reduced the portion and wasn’t filling enough. So I wanted to see if that was true.

Gokyuzu Harringay Menu

The menu is quite extensive but most people ordereing the sharing platters. I ordered sharing platter for two.

You can also check my vlog “Taste the World without Leaving London” Turkey episode below. I am trying to eat as many different country’s food in London and see how many I can eat!

It comes with Cacik (yogurt and cucumber), huge salad and breads. But do not eat too much of it cause you will get full even before having the main course.

It comes with lamb, chicken shish, adana kebab, chicken wings 2pc, lamb ribs 2 pcs, mixed doner.

Except the chicken wings and lamb ribs, there were plenty of meat for almost three people. I couldn’t finish it, so ended up taking it for to go.

I am not sure how the portion was bigger than this before, but still it is very reasonable for how much you get.

I didn’t order but Gokyuzu is famous for Pide and Lahmacun which is a Turkish pizza. I guess I have another reason to come back.

Lastly, in Turkey, it is common to have a soup with a cheese bread and salad. It is a good way to eat quick and with a reasonable price. Even at Gyokuzu, you will see a lot of the locals having soup and go.

Gokyzu Harringay Opening Time

One thing I love about Gokyuzu is that their opening time is from 9AM to 2Am. Unlike New York it is really hard to find a proper restaurant that opens early and closes at night.

Another thing that Gokyzu does right is the opening time as well.
