Wing Wing in London is the only Halal Korean fried chicken specialty restaurant in London.
With the popularity of Korean fried chicken that there isn’t more, I thought there would be halal Korean fried chicken. But it might be the only restaurant, but is it actually good?

My Pet Peeves about Asian Restaurants
One of the pet peeves I have with Asian restaurants in London is that they all have their own version of Bao dishes, either be Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese or Filipino.
I am happy the restaurants are experimenting but it always feel like another trick to make us pay more with less food (Like all restaurants in London seem to be doing “tapas” style dishes).
So naturally when I saw Bao, I was very dubious if Wing Wing is an authentic Korean fried chicken restaurant.
Wing Wing
But for Tiktok, I decided to give Wing Wing a go.
There are three locations : Hammersmith, Chinatown and Friztrovia.
I went to the one in Chinatown.
The interior is very young and hip. You can tell it is for the Instagram generation.
Wing Wing Menu
I had the signature wings and drumsticks (Soy Garlic), Whizzards (Boneless strips, Hot).
What did I think? You can see my Tiktok video what I thought, but I was surprised how crispy it was and still juicy and wet in side.
@rollinjoint Did I say it was awesome? 🍗##londonrestaurants ##koreanfriedchicken ##chinatownlondon ##wingwing ##londoneats
The video went viral and Wing Wing agreed to do a giveaway for my viewers.
So I had another chance to have their wings, but I also got a chance to have their Baos.
I will be honest. The Bao buns tasted more like a croissant that looks like a Bao bun.
It is stuffed with the Boneless chicken strips with coleslaw. And I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it.
Cause the Bao buns were crunchy and buttery, it definitely was something I would go back and try it again.
If you are looking for Halal Korean Fried Chicken and a good one, I can recommend Wing Wing.
