Imone New Malden
Imo (이모) means old aunty. It means that whenever we go to our old aunties house we know we will get good food.
Aunty (Imo) can fix up almost any kind of meal. So when we to a Korean restaurant in Korea that is served by an Aunty (Imo) the menu is always very diverse and almost all good.
This is where Imone New Malden comes in.
apparently Imone New Malden is where local Koreans like to go. It is where my New Malden friend took me when I first went to New Malden.
The restaurant serves home cooking style dishes and it is all good.
Imone Menu
Imone menu is super diverse from Soondae Bokkum to Biji Jjigae.
Almost all of the dishes are good. That is why the locals frequent cause if they get bored with one dish you can easily go for another menu.
The most popular menu and the Tiktok hype dish is Ssaengsun Jjim which is a spicy fish steamed with Korean vegetable.
But there are other dishes that are popular among locals. This is the list below.
- Bossam : Steamed pork belly with kimchi
- Soondae Bokkum (which is my favourite) : Korean style sausage in spicy sauce with vegetable
- Pa Jeon : Scallion & calamari pancake
- Kan Pung Gi : Sweet chilli fried chicken
- Grilled Mackerel
- Dakdori Tang : Spicy chicken stew
- Al Tang : Spicy fish roe soup
- Soon Tofu Stew : Spicy soft tofu stew with seafood
- Gamja Tang : Pork back bone stew
