[Why Aloft Hotel in Liverpool Might be Better than Titanic Hotel]

If you visit England, one of the things we do is visit London. Obviously. But I think Liverpool is sometimes better than the overcrowded London. Because you can immerse with the legacy of Beatles and the Titanic in Liverpool. Some travelers can do a day trip to Liverpool but the best is to stay over night to really experience the culture here. I can go on about it, but I want to focus on the Aloft Liverpool today.

Two years ago I wrote a blog post about top hotels in Liverpool you have to stay. I chose Titanic hotel (Click here to see what I think of Titanic hotel) to be the best. Recently it is where Paul Mccartney and James Corden. I still think the Beatles hotel and the Titanic hotel are the best. But I had some points on SPG, so went and stayed at the Aloft on North John street Liverpool. And now I think I will have to also include this hotel to the non-stop evolving Liverpool hotels. And because the Titanic hotel is not in the best location for travelers, but the Aloft Liverpool does.

LOCATION

If you are staying in Liverpool, you have to stay in Hope St or North John Street. Because you will be staying here the most. This is where all the bars and restaurants here. Also the reason you have to stay over in Liverpool is because you have to go to Cavern Club. This is where the Beatles used to play and now it’s a historical building. If you stay at the Aloft, you don’t have to worry about taking taxis.

HOTEL

Aloft Liverpool is usually the one hotel that can afford to stay. Not too expensive, but also very cute and modern inside (I think it is like the cheaper version of W hotels). The rooms are effective as well. I have stayed in Brooklyn, Munich and Miami Aloft hotels. The negative side of the Aloft hotels are that it doesn’t have any character or personality of the cities. I think because all the interior is the same. But Aloft Liverpool was different.

The building was built in 1845 as a Royal insurance company. A lot of the facet is still kept and the interior hasn’t changed much. It almost felt like entering the NED Hotel in London. Also the Bar and the restaurant were a lot bigger.

THE ROOMS

The rooms also have a quirk. I stayed in 530 and the layout was very interesting. It had two separate rooms with a bed and the other with desk area/ bathroom. Some people would not like it as it can feel claustrophobic, but I liked it cause it was different than normal rooms that I stayed.

All the rooms have their own style due to the old building, so I can speak for other rooms really. But if you book with us, we will make sure to get you the room that you prefer either can be a quirk or spacious. Please leave us a comment of email us if you want to book with us.

FOOD AND BAR

Unlike other Aloft hotels, Aloft Liverpool has a difference. They have a bar and a restaurant. All the Aloft hotels I have been only had a self service store and a small bar. But the Aloft Liverpool had a grand bar and restaurant.

Like the spirit of Liverpool, they also have live bands every weekend, and it made the hotel very lively and fun.

The breakfast was decent, but you are staying in the heart of Liverpool. And you can find many good restaurants for breakfast on North John St Liverpool. One of my favorite is the Moose Cafe not far from the hotel. I also wrote the best restaurants and bars on another blog post and you can read about it here

the gym is quite spacious

CONCLUSION

In terms of the location Beatles hotel and the Aloft hotel are the best. Beatles hotel (Hard Days and Night hotel) is all about Beatles, but the only downside is that it’s slightly expensive. The space wise, I prefer the Titanic hotel, but it still can’t beat the location.
