Korean fried chicken is good but sometime you crave more of an American food in Seoul. Something like Chick-Fil-A. And there is something like that here in Seoul.
Rocka Doodle Nashville Hot Chicken
The restaurant is called Rocka Doodle Nashville Hot Chicken. They only sell chicken burger / fried chicken and side dishes.

What makes Rocka Doodle more unique than other chicken restaurants are that they solely focuses on Nashville hot chicken.
And the kick is that you can choose the spicy level.
- 0 no spice
- 1 cayenne pepper
- 2 habanero pepper
- 3 carolina reaper
- 4 extra carolina reaper
I chose Carolina Reaper. It is spicy enough to make my nose sweat. And that was exactly what I wanted.
Is It Really the Best American Food in Seoul?
OK. I’ll be honest. There are many good American restaurants in Seoul (Butter Finger, Shake Shack, Pancake House etc) but for some reason Rocka Doodle hit me differently.
Not only the food but also the decor from seating to even trash can made me feel like I was back in America.
Rocka Doodle Location and Opening Time
With the popularity among locals and expats, they have expanded and have two locations.
- One is in Itaewon : 455-50 Itaewon 1(il)-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea
- The second restaurant is in Apgugeong-dong: 646-8 Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Opening Time is:
- Mon – Friday : 11:30 – 21:30 (21:00 Last Order)
- Sat: 11:30 – 21:30 (14:30 – 17:00, Break Time | 21:00 Lat Order)
- Sunday : Closed

Mom’s Touch Nashville Hot Chicken
For some reason, Korea is going through a Nashville Hot Chicken phase where from Mom’s Touch to Dunkin Donuts have their own version.
Mom’s Touch’s own version of Nashville hot chicken became popular as well.
It is a lot cheaper than Rocka Doodle’s chicken burger, and if you buy a set you also get an extra hot chicken drumstick.
If you want to go to Rocka Doodle but it is a bit far from your accommodation, I would recommend Mom’s Touch.
It is not as good as Rocka Doodle, but Mom’s Touch is everywhere from Myeongdon to Hongdae. So it is more accessible.
