Best Asian Restaurants in Miami According to Korean American

I have already introduced some Asian restaurants in Miami. But for an Asian who grew up eating Asian food, those restaurants aren’t enough. It is always missing that kick, so today I will list all the best Asian restaurant Miami according to a Korean American.

3 Chefs

Living in Miami, one thing I missed hardcore was a good pho. LIKE A GOOD PHO.

We all know after blacking out the day before, we need a good hearty soup to sober up and help us have a good sleep.

I went to almost all restaurants and I never found a good place (Especially Thai House South Beach was a big NO NO).

Then I accidentally stumbled upon 3 chefs.

It is not necessarily a Vietnamese restaurant but, their pho was good.

3 Chefs’ pho did the job of saving me from a bad hangover.

Best Asian Restaurant in Miami — I am not sure if this was the pic of pho from 3 Chef as I went to so many lol. It looks like it, but anyways 3 CHEFS is to go

The problem was that they opened at 11:00AM.

In New York, I used to at 8:00Am, and then went home for a good nap. But now I had to wait till 11:00AM. Real struggle right? lol.

Another problem if you are staying in South Beach is that you have to TRAVEL.

Hung over and travel? No way.

In South Beach, there is a Vietnamese restaurant called Miss Saigon.

It is not the nicest restaurant. You know a restaurant that they will not turn the light on to save money kind of place.

But the soup is decent and you will not find a good pho as this on South Beach.

Just trust me lol.

Gyu-kaku BBQ

Gyu-Kaku BBQ is a Japanese restaurant.

I go here when I miss Korean BBQ.

Now there is Soju Miami in Wynwood where you can do Korean BBQ, but back then it was only Gyu-Kaku BBQ.

Gyu-Kaku BBQ is a big chain and if you lived in New York, you might have tried it before.

It is not like Korean BBQ where they give you unlimited side dishes, but it is quite nice (feels more Japanese for some reason.. Maybe the limited portion? ;:p)

But the good thing about Gyu-kaku BBQ was that you were able to have a set menu with a reasonable price (especially during lunch time).

Cake Thai

Cake Thai is my favourite Thai restaurant in Miami. Periodt.

I have trid Nai Ya Ra and it was so overprices and bleh.

They used to have one in Wynwood, but they unfortunately closed down.

Now the only one is near Little Haiti.

The one thing you have to order is their crab fried rice, and I don’t know why but it is so addicting at one point, I used to go there every week.

And I can say that it is one of the best asian restaurants Miami. Maybe NOT. The whole Florida I will say.

K.Ramen

K. Ramen is probably the only Japanese ramen that I will go to.

There are several Japanese restaurant that serves Japanese ramen, but it was all very un-authentic and just flat out bad.

K. Ramen really focuses on not only bringing the best ramen noodles but also to make sure it taste nice.

I have eaten ramen all my life, and I can guarantee you that K.Ramen is the one of the best asian restaurants in Miami.

There are many Japanese restaurants

Sugarcane Sushi

Sugarcane Sushi is a fancy Japanese restaruant near Design District.

I used to go there when they half price happy hours, but it seems like they ditched it.

It is mostly tapas style, and if you go really hungry, you will end up spending a fortune like my friends and I (We went for dinner and with drinks it costed about 100 dollars per person)

Dragon Fly in Doral

Ok. I am just trowing this in even though nobody is really going to go here unless you are a local.

Dragon Fly in Doral is an Izakaya restaurant.

It IS a Japanese Izakaya but it doesn’t have that feeling you see in Japan or even in New York.

It is more polished and feels very Miami.

So I was kind of dubious how a polished Izakaya can be good? It was surprisingly good and was worth the travel (I went there cause I was living in Miami, but I don’t think there is any reason you should go if you are just visiting).
