With the all you can eat unlimited BBQ, Jumak 39 is now the best Korean BBQ in London (According to a Korean). And let me explain why that is. But first can we talk about Jumak 39?
Jumak 39
During the pandemic, London was open for business for a very short period time (Remember Eat Out Help Out?). And during that time, Jumak 39 opened.
Because of their 5 pounds promotion, I ended up going to Jumak 39 several times. And I was able to try many dishes at the restaurant. Of course there were some good dishes and bad dishes.
Jumak 39 Menu
There are several a la carte dishes that I love and can’t be compared to other Korean restaurants in London
You can download the full menu here, but here are some of my favourites and maybe not so favourite dishes.
Jjampong (£10.9) : When Korean restaurants in London make Jjampong, they tend to use udon noodles. But in reality it shouldn’t be udon noodles, but thinner Chinese noodles.
Jumak 39 not only understands using udon noodles is not a real jjampong, but it also tastes like a real jjampong.
Fried Chicken (£20.99) : There are so many Korean fried chicken restaurants in London, and it is hard to pick the best one.
Fried chicken at Jumak 39 was pretty decent, but it wasn’t extraordinary.
Soondae Bokkum (£13.99) : Soondae bokkum was one of my favourite dishes in Jumak 39. Soondae bokeum is not the easiest to make, but Jumak does it best.
I have tried it at Tobang, but unfortunately it wasn’t the best.
Dolsot Bibimbap (£11.99) : When bibimbap comes in a hot stone, we call it dolsot bibimbap. It is not something I normally order at a Korean restaurant, but my non-Korean friend ordered it.
She said it was good as the stone kept the food hot, especially when we were eating outdoors.
Hot Pots: To be honest hot pots were quite disappointing.
There are several Korean restaurants that do hot pot so much better and you can check out each of the restaurants’ review below.

But the reason I fell in love with Jumak 39 is cause of their all you can eat Korean BBQ.
Before we go talk about the Best Korean BBQ in London, please watch my Youtube video. I am trying to eat as many countries’ food without leaving London. And the first episode is Korea.
The Only All You Can Eat Korean BBQ in London
There is a reason I say Jumak 39 right now is the best Korean BBQ in London.
The whole Korean BBQ experience is to wrap the meat with all different side dishes.
But in London (& generally all of Europe), you have to pay for every side dishes from lettuce, ssam, scallion salad and more. That is just wrong.

In Korea or in U.S., you will get unlimited side dishes once you order the meat. But with all you can eat Korean BBQ, you don’t have to ration how much scallion salad you want to put in your lettuce or how much ssam you want to use. You can get as much as you want.
And that is how you do it proper, and the reason I say Jumak 39 is the best Korean BBQ in London.
Jumak 39 Buffet price is £28 for adults and £15 for kids.
Tips on How to Do All You Can Eat Korean BBQ
All you can eat Korean BBQ is just like a buffet.
- You have to get your meat, vegetable and side dishes
- They will give you a scissor and a handle where you can cook your meat, onions and mushrooms
- You will have to cook it yourself (unlike other Korean BBQ restaurants)
- After it is cooked, you will use the scissor to cut it smaller
- Normally, wrap your meat, Ssam (sauce) and scallion salad in a lettuce.
Like any buffet, they will have some hot dishes like fried chicken to japchae. But these are usually fillings, so try to avoid it if you can lol.
Also, another thing you should know is normally you have to cook the non-marinated meat first.
If you cook the marinated meat first, it will burn the pan and will have to change it every time you cook the meat. It is going to be a hassle to re-heat the pan.
Hi there!
I wanted to know if there was seafood options for the BBQ.
