Kangnam Pocha menu is diverse with traditional Korean dishes, but there is one dish that every Korean is going crazy for.
Kangnam Pocha
Kangnam Pocha is the most un-pretentious Korean restaurant in London. It is not the best place to take your first date, but if you are looking for just good food, this IS the place.
It is known to have the best Korean dishes and has been popular among Korean and Chinese study abroad students who just want good food.
But there is one dish that almost everybody orders.
Kangnam Pocha Menu
It is called Gamja-tang.
Gamja-tang is a pork back-bone stew.
You can order one person portion, but the best is to order the sharing size because at the end you can make it into fried rice (with left over soup).
And the reason I wanted to write about how to eat Gamja-tang is cause the couple next to us seemed to really want it but didn’t know what to do.
So here it is!
How to Eat Gamjatang
1. If you are ordering the jeongol (hotpot) size (bigger size which is for 3 -4 people), you will need to use the heat in the middle.
2. The waiter will bring the cooked gamja-tang. It is already cooked, but we want the soup to be constantly hot, so wait till it boils.
3. You can start eating it once it is boiling. The most important part is to suck the meat out of the bone. I know it gets messy, but it is the best part.
4. Ask for fried rice after you almost finished eating.
Booking
Kangnam Pocha booking is possible through phone call. I know it is a bit annoying but this is how they do I guess.
Karaoke
Many people might not know but there is a Karaoke room. There is only one so it is super competitive.
