What do you do when you want to relax or feel comfortable? Yoga, Meditation, shopping or all of above? Well, the former two is like dedication and focus. Shopping is more superficial and easy. That is why I especially enjoy shopping. The gratification is immediate and easy. But I don’t necessarily go buy the most fashionable clothe cause I don’t think I am the most fashionable person. But I look for clothe that will make me feel comfortable through out the day. One of the brand is Mollusk Surf Shop.

What makes me comfortable when I wear a shirt is100% cotton, wools or cashmere. Yes, those do make me feel comfortable and soft, but these peaceful looking sea creature prints and blue ocean wave prints make me extra relaxed. Scientifically it is true that the ocean wave sound will make you calm. The article explains why wave sounds can make you relaxed. Even though the prints are not sound, but affecting our sensory system will be the same when we look at the wave or sea animal prints – I mean, I hope it does

I especially love surf style. I have no clue how to surf but the style not only does make you feel happy and jolly but also loves to include some ocean vibe. Even though surfing culture is big, I think it hasn’t caught with the fashion in New York like Hawaii or California. However, I think people are slowly realizing that these surf style can be achieved without giving up the high level style. Look at Saturdays NYC! You do not need to be a hippie to dress like a hippie, you don’t need to be rock star to dress like one or you don’t have to chop woods to pull a lumbersexual look. And for sure, you don’t have to be a surfer to wear surfer style.

We all think that surf look only applies to summer, but in actual fact it can apply to all seasons. Here is how I wore it. I mixed it with Mollusk long sleeve with a black chino. I am not a huge fan of Ugg style, but I am really diggin’ this Red Toms Mens Berkeley Slippers. It is warm and comfortable because of the wool inside and easy to wear cause it has it’s slipper look.
