6 Best Steak in South Beach Miami in 2021 You Have to Try Right NowI don’t think I ever had to pay 1,000 dollars on a standard room. Yes, I had to at Miami Faena. It is now officially the most expensive hotel in Miami. But was it worth paying that much for a standard room?
Location
Faena hotel is on Collins ave, but it is more like the mid-beach than the South beach (32nd st).

Lincoln road is on 17th st, and Ocean Drive starts on 15th st. Each block is not small like the streets in New York. So to get to Lincoln road, you will have to walk at least 20 minutes.
If you are traveling during a cool month, it is walkable, but when it’s September it sure is going to feel like hell.
If you are renting a car, valet parking is $30 dollars for 24 hours. It is cheaper than other hotels like Mondrian where they charge 40 dollars for 24 hours.

Style and Character
It is a luxury hotel and it screams luxury hotel. I mean the Mammoth it self is rumoured to cost about 15 million dollars.
Faena Miami South Beach is a 5-star hotel and it only opened in 2015 which makes it a new hotel.
It is not only extremely clean but it has that over the top vibe. Of course, the hotel had the best creative consultant, Baz Luhmann (He famously directed Moulin Rouge).
It can be a family friendly hotel, but with amazing bars like Living Room and Saxony bar, it should be more couple friendly hotel.
Like one of the most expensive hotel in Miami, the dog policy is also ridiculous.
You can bring your dog of any size with an additional $250.
But if you are willing to stay at Faena hotel, I am sure $250 is not a worry than staying with your dog 🙂
Facilities
Faena Miami has one of the best spa in Miami and the gym.
Standard hotel is known to have the best spa in Miami. It is literally built as a spa hotel where you can even get a mud bath in your own room.

But in terms of JUST the spa, you cannot beat Faena hotel. It is so clean and calming but also the treatments does make you glow after.
As impressive as the spa it, the outdoor pool is not impressive. It is actually very underwhelming compared to what you have to pay.
Compared to now closed Delano hotel or the One hotel (You can literally have 3 different pools at One hotel with half the price).

Restaurants / Bars
There are 8 different bars and restaurants inside the hotel where you don’t actually even have to leave to hotel if you are planning on Staycation.
- Los Fuegos by Fancis Mallmann : Argentinian Steak
- Pao by Paul Qui : Asian
- Veranda : Breakfast (Outdoor + Indoor)
- Tree of Life : Outdoor Cocktails
- The Living Room : Cocktails with live Music
- Saxony Bar : Speak Easy Bar
- Gitano Miami at Casa Faena
- Gaena Theater : This makes Faena hotel the most unique hotel where they have a Old Hollywood style opera house where you can eat and drink
Unfortunately I couldn’t go to Gaena Theater, but I have been to Los Fuegos and their steak was quite impressive.

Because it is one of the hottest hotel in Miami, you will have to make a reservation on either the theater or the restaurants.
If you are staying at the hotel, make a reservation when you book your room which will be easier to get a spot.
Other bars like Living room or Tree of Life, you don’t really need a reservation.
ROOMS
I chose the standard room, but for almost $1,000 a night I don’t see why it is so expensive.
Unless you are planning on Staycation where you don’t even want to leave the hotel and enjoy the hotel amenities and facilities, I think it is quite expensive for what you get.
You can literally get a Suite at the Edition hotel.

Don’t get me wrong. The rooms are colorful and red where you can feel the passion from Buenos Aires where the owner Faena is from.
The bathrooms are installed with heat warming bidets and even the standard rooms have balconies.
I mean it even had a nice walk-in closet.
My little standard room didn’t have the best view either but I was just happy to be at the most popular hotel right now.
I think if you can afford to pay extra, I want to highly recommend to go for the suites or at least above Premier Oceanfront rooms or Suites.
Faena hotel IS the most expensive hotel in Miami, but there are also hotels that have the same quality and cheaper rooms.
So is it worth payint 1,000 dollars a night?
I am not sure.
