I had a chance to go to Phucket for a conference few years ago, and I needed a swimsuit. All the swimsuit I had was speedos or sungas and I didn’t want to wear that in front of 300 people. So I started to look for a swim short that is tight but not too tight, short but not too short, colorful but not too camp. Something that screams smart casual that would fit wearing at the Hamptons.
I was searching for the perfect swim shorts for the occasion and stumbled upon “Orlebar Brown.” I stayed at the Delano hotel in Miami once which is like one of the nicest boutique hotel. And many hip and stylish people were wearing this fabulous swimsuit that wasn’t too tight. I asked what it was and the guy told me it was Orlebar Brown swim suits. Orlebar Brown swim shorts were the perfect swimwear and that is when my obsession with Orlebar Brown started.

Orlebar Brown swim shorts are all nice and stylish, but Orlebar Brown bulldog and setter is something that makes this brand special. They’re tailored for your comfort but it is not baggy yet tidy fit. To buy one Orlebar Brown Setter is not cheap and the price tag goes up to $300. Every design has a special photography and expresses it’s uniqueness. The one I’m wearing is printed with Slim Aaron’s famous (I guess everybody has seen it at once) image of the Hotel du Cap Eden Roc. Also it includes an adjustable waist straps in case you loose weight or you know 🙂 gain.
Every design gives me some fantasy of actually being in the event. Like I would be diving into the pool of Hotel du Cap Eden Roc. I was so curious how much it would be to stay there and not-so-surprisingly, it was mega expensive. I have decided one day in my wildest dream, I will be sipping champaign in Hotel du Cap in France. Even though I wasn’t there physically, Orlebar Brown swim short allowed me to dream about it. You may say I am materialistic, but I couldn’t help but feel happy even if it was like a second hand experience.

The swim short is made out of 100% polyester and it is easy to wash. And if you are planning on a winter vacation, you should at least bring one nice swimwear where you can flaunt around. The brand Orlebar brand is a smart casual brand that focuses on swimwear but 45% of the sales also comes from other than swimwear. If only the swim shorts were great, I wouldn’t waste my time writing about it. 100% cotton t-shirt is another Orlebar Brown’s collection which puts work of artists on t-shirts. It is like Orlebar Brown’s setter and bulldog but on t-shirt. It is super light and perfect for hot and humid places.
