Is Sushi Tatsu the Best Best Omakase in Seoul

Sushi In is the best omakase in Seoul. Periodt. But there is no way I can get in or you can get it in. You can only make reservations through a referral, so if you don’t have a friend who is a regular at Sushi In, it is impossible.

Then where is the best omakase in Seoul you can get in? Sushi Tatsu in Gangnam is for sure the best.

When I lived in New York, all my finance friends talked about how good omakase was. And I dreamt of going to one, and luckily my aunt took me once.

I didn’t know but apparently my uncle loves going to omakase restaurants. Because I was talking about it all the time, he decided to take me to Sushi Tatsu.

Before we talk about how much it is let’s dive into the menu.

Sushi Tatsu Menu

If you are looking for the best omakase in Seoul, I highly recommend Sushi Tatsu.

It is not as pretensious as Sushi Inn, so it will be a lot easier to make a reservation. Just make sure to do it a week in advance.

Like Omakase, there are about 20 dishes you try.

How Was Sushi Tatsu Omakase?

We had lunch instead of dinner cause of the price.

Let’s talk about price later and talk about what it’s like to have the best omakase in Seoul.

We started with chawanmushi (steamed egg).

To be honest, the only menu that I can name is chawanmushi lol.

After chawanmushi, it was non stop sushi and sashimi which I can actually remember.

I am sorry so I will just post all the pictures.

All I can say is that every single one was absolutely amazing.

My brother doesn’t like raw fish, but he also ate every single one of them. So you know what it means.

The end was with dessert.

Apparently it is the highlight of the whole course and rightfully it was gorgeous.

Sushi Tatsu Location and Opening Time

Unfortunately, they don’t have a reservation site, so you will have to call.

There are less than 10 seats so you will have to make a reservation. They also speak good English, so don’t stress too much before calling.

Lunches are always easier to make a reservation (and cheaper).
