In Russia where it’s freezing cold in winter, you will want a full on fur hat or “Chapka”. It can be expensive but it will keep you warm for sure. Here are the top 100 hats that I like to wear during winter. OK! 100 is too much. Here are the 4!
Choose the Right Aviator Hat and It Will Give You the Style and the Warmth! WIN-WINK
First choice of course would be the Aviator hat! It covers your ears and head and keeps you warm even in bitter cold winter and I am sure that is why the Russians love wearing it. Also, it is like all in one, so you don’t need to carry a scarf, muffler and a hat. It is really convenient and makes your life more comfortable.
- First, I am wearing Gosha Rubchinsky‘s Chapka (Yellow). Gosha Rubchinsky is a Soviet street style with contemporary atheistic. The hat’s style kept it’s Russian roots with a twist of funky skateboarder look and OBVI 100% Cotton inside. It truly keeps you warm with 100% cotton inside. You can tie the flaps to open or loosen it to flap down. And I love it! You can check out down down here what I’m wearing and similar styles as well
- Second, I am wearing a Barneys 100% Cotton Trapper Hat which is almost my daily hat anywhere I go from the deli next door to a bar during cold winter. It is also 100% cotton inside and it does it job very well. Wearing anything like silk or viscose would be suicide. It is important that we wear 100% cotton during winter cause the fabric doesn’t get cold.
Try a Wool Cap for Snowy Cold Winter
The second is a cap made of Wool. Wool is a natural fibre from sheep. It not only is a perfect insulator but also water resistant. When you are surrounded by snow, other materials would easily get wet, but because wool is naturally water resistant, it will still keep you warm after snow fight. I am wearing a Rag and Bone check cap. They don’t sell it anymore, but here are some other styles you can check it out.
Beanie the All Seasons Hat
Last but not least, it’s the most popular hat during winter, Beanie. Beanies have many styles but I especially love a “Skull Cap.” It tightly fits your head and gives you a bit more boyish image. I fell in love with this look after watching The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
