Where to Stay in Suncheon Korea | Best Hotels I Recommend

Suncheon is not a big city like Seoul where you can find hotels and hostels easily. I really wanted to experience and immerse myself at Naganeupseong Folk Village, I solely looked inside the village. The problem was there were no proper websites, and I only found a very vew that was on Airbnb.

If you are planning on staying inside the folk village I highly recommend the one I stayed. Unless I recommend you to stick with city center (I will show you some of the best ones in town later).

E-Bang House (이방집)

I stayed inside Naganeupseong Folk Village (낙안 읍성). It is an Airbnb and didn’t realize I had to sleep on the floor. Not that it mattered cause I am used to it, but for people who isn’t used to sleeping on the floor I recommend getting an Airbnb with a bed.

The only problem is that the one I stayed is probably the only one on Airbnb that literally is inside Naganeupseong. There are many guesthouses inside Naganeupseong, but you will have to reach out to them personally, and the owners usually don’t speak good English.

Baguni Hostel

The other issue with staying inside Naganeuseong village is that they don’t have beds. It is more traditional, so you will be sleeping on the floor and I can see a lot of people will have hard time doing it.

At nights it can be scary with no lights at all. So my suggestion for people who want a bit of an easier travel experience, I suggest Baguni Hostel. They have private rooms (no private bathroom tho) and it is the only hotel/hostel that has over 9 stars in Suncheon.

24 Guest House

If you are more of a grown up adult and cannot share a bathroom, I highly recommend 24 Guest House. Some rooms have private bathrooms. It is also next to the station and inside city center, so there will be less hassle.
