I know you were looking where to stay in Brooklyn, New York and landed on our page 🙂 I will say Dumbo and Williamsburg are the places and today we will focus on one of the best boutique hotel in Brooklyn, Williamsburg hotel. We will write about all the new boutique hotels in Williamsburg & Dumbo, Brooklyn and compare each to give you better idea in few weeks!

Williamsburg has changed so much over the years and especially over the past two years with new bars and restaurants. And above all, amazing boutique hotels are pouring into Williamsburg, Brooklyn to compliment the existing great hotels. William Vale hotel and Williamsburg hotel in Brooklyn are two of the new hotels in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Both Brooklyn hotels are amazing but in a very different way.

WILLIAMSBURG HOTEL LOBBY

As you approach the Williamsburg hotel, the first things you notice are it’s large red brick. It’s all reclaimed from the original building, so it doesn’t look like a brand new suburban Holiday Inn. How cool is that!!! The building immediately gives a sense of the past but the comforts of today. It’s definitely a fantastic addition to Brooklyn. Also, it is designed by a U.K firm (U.K. Pride!!, I mean I don’t think this really matters to anybody tho lol). As you arrive, you are immediately greeted by a doorman who was very helpful. He was very cool, trendy and typical of Williamsburg. The lobby is downstairs, and the doorman takes you there so that there would be no confusion. 

ROOMS

Williamsburg hotel lobby gives you a sense of what to expect when you move to your room. I was excited to see the room which did not disappoint in anyway. We had the King Terrace and the room is big compared to other New York hotels. Because it was the soft opening and they only opened two floors we did not get to experience the other rooms. However, everything is minty fresh and clean (OVBI). The furniture is all new and fitted like a hand and a glove – the old and the new incredibly working so well together. Everything in the room was in an excellent quality from the original brick stone work to the copper pipe for the full bathroom. And, YES! the room we got (King Terrace) was a full bathroom which is a priority for me who occasionally enjoys a bath.

The View at William Vale Hotel Might Be Better, But the Spacious Room and a Big Bathtub Can’t Beat Williamsburg hotel in Brooklyn

There is a small table with seating area which made the room a little cramped. I thought it would have been better if they put it out on the terrace where we can sit and enjoy the view. Yes, as the room says it self, King Terrace, there is a balcony with amazing views of NYC, Williamsburg and East River.

To be honest, if you are looking for a view with a room, I would prefer to stay in William Vale hotel next to Williamsburg hotel. Don’t get me wrong! It has an excellent view from Williamsburg hotel, but if you can spend a little more, I would go for William Vale hotel (If you are looking for a view). Williams Vale hotel has the best view from Brooklyn and it reminds you of the Miramax Logo. However, with a big sized bathtub and a spacious room, I thought Williamsburg hotel was better for us as we stayed long term. The bedroom has everything you need with quality bedding and comfort. If You Want an Amazing Instagram Picture, Williamsburg Hotel in Brooklyn Will Not Disappoint You

The bedroom is divided by a glass wall from the bathroom. It gives a very little privacy but adds a sexy romantic feel to the room as you see your partner showering or bathing. It is quite open, so if you have an explosive diarrhea, you will be quite embarrassed.

 

EXTRA DETAILS BEFORE THE OPENING OF THE BAR & RESTAURANT

The hotel was open for a soft launch when we arrived so the restaurant and roof top bar was not open. This gives us another opportunity to go back and review (and stay at the hotel!!!). But from what we could see the rooftop bar (a cool New York water tower)  will be the place to hang out and admire the view with the hippest of Brooklyn.

Once the hottest hotel bar in Wythe hotel will now compete with two new hotel bars (William Vale hotel & Williamsburg hotel) which will be a good competition! The restaurant on the ground floor looks like it will be amazing (OK, we don’t know and we are just saying it for the sake of it lol. We will update when they open the restaurant and get a chance to go there). And the bar on the ground floor will attract many to its open fires and huge red brick ceilings.

The common areas with amazing sofas and comfy seating will see people hanging for hours. The free breakfast for residents will also be a pull BUT this area offers so much get out and enjoy the local restaurants . The coffee in the bar was also free so grab a cup and take it with you as your tour Williamsburg.

TIPS ON STAYING AT WILLIAMSBURG HOTEL

• Make sure you book it through their website. This will give you a higher chance of upgrade
• Always ask if you can get an upgrade! NO shame on asking (We got a Queen Terrace but because we asked, we got an upgrade to King Terrace)
• Book a room with a river view & as high as possible (5th floor and above)
• Ask for a bathtub, and you can enjoy the bath tub with your partner 
• Go to the bar in the William Vale hotel in Williamsburg (Since, the water tower isn’t open yet)
• Take enough cash with you in Williamsburg. Because when in Williamsburg a lot of restaurants and bars only take cash. And you know we hate to pay an extra fee for ATM
