Koya Soho Breakfast Isn’t The Only Thing You Need to Know

Koya Soho Breakfast is the only Asian restaurant that serves breakfast in Soho. I tried few others like in China Town, Waterloo and Southwark.

If you want to know more about it you can find it below my related blog post.

Koya Ko in the morning on Saturday. The street becomes lively on the weekend, so it is great to visit in the morning then go look around on broadway market

Koya Breakfast Locations & Time

Koya actually has two locations that serve breakfast – Hackney Koya Ko and Koya Soho

  • Hackney location only serves breakfast on the weekend (Saturday & Sunda) from 10:00AM – 11:59AM.
  • Koya Soho serves breakfast every day (Monday – Sunday) from 10:00AM – 11:59AM.

What to Order at Koya Breakfast

Unlike other Japanese restaurant that serves breakfast, Koya has

  • home cook meal style breakfast (Japanese Breakfast) :  with mackerel and those little cute pickles that goes on top of rice.
  • English Breakfast : that contains fried egg, bacon and shiitake porridge with miso soup

English Breakfast : My friend loved it
Typical Japanese Breakfast. Koya Ko comes with makerel and a cup of soup and rice with plum pickle

Koya Soho and Hackney has slightly different menu, but if you want rice, I recommend two above.

If you want udon :

  • Egg Bacon Mushroom Udon (Soupless) which I had
  • Miso Classic (Only available in Hackney)

Koya Ko Breakast
Bacon Egg Udon at Koya Ko. It definitely tasted more premium than the one at Marugame, but someone who has cheap taste, I prefer Marugame version.

It seems like Hackney one offers more but unfortunately they don’t open on weekdays.

Koya Breakfast Alternatives

If you are going to have Egg Bacon Mushroom udon I personally thought Marugame breakfast was better.

If you want something high-end, Nobu hotel has amazing breakfast as well. Also brunch during weekend which I would love to try some day.
