Polar Vortex decided to chill in New York this week, and all you can think is to get out of the city. To Miami? Phucket? Bora Bora? Well, I have decided on Hawaii! Not Honolulu, but Maui is what I am saying. Maui is truly a breathe taking island. You can think it as California on steroid. Every time I go, I fall in love with the island bits by bits. I see why half of the locals migrated from California. Are you planning on holiday getaway? I ask you to book a ticket to Maui right now!

I think it’s best when you relax at the pool, watch the turtles pass by on the beach, watch the sunset and just eat good food. BTW, we need some reward after all that dieting to come to Maui, so I wrote an intense comfort food restaurants to go here. We can tour and go all out when we visit New York or London. If You Are Visiting Hawaii, You Should Find a Hotel that Offers from A to Z!
There are lots of fun things to do in Maui but I want to talk about where you should stay. Before I came to Maui, I thought I should be focusing on a hotel where it can offer from A to Z. So I did some hardcore research! After all the research and staying at resorts like Grand Wailea, I would say Andaz Hotel was one of the best.
Andaz Hotel Pool Suite Room Will Make Your Fantasy the Reality
It absolutely was AAMMMAAZZZINGGGG!!! We did not need to leave the hotel cause they offered so many activities and restaurants. If you are a family with kids going on a trip, Grand Wailea would be perfect as they are very kid friendly, but if you are a grown ass adult like me, please without any second thought, book Andaz Hotel. This is after all the research and experience, so you can save the sweat and energy googling like crazy and trust me. By the way, I am just talking in terms of comfortness of the hotel as our blog focuses on comforting life.
Andaz Hotel in Maui Has a Younger Vibe than Four Seasons and Travaasa Hana with Better Value (Price)
Andaz Hotel in Maui is a newest hotel in town. There are Four Seasons and Travaasa Hana but Andaz Hotel has a younger fresh feeling. If you want to compare Andaz with Four Seasons, Travaasa Hana, Family Travel 411 wrote an extensive review about the Travaasa Hana here and Lisa Ng wrote a review about Four Seasons Hotel here. LOBBY
As you enter, you are greeted with flower necklace and a gift bag with water bottles, beach bag, hand towel and a tea. And we all know that gift bag tells you that the experience at the hotel will be absolutely fabulous. The hotel is designed with class but brings the comfortless and relaxed feeling into the hotel. The lobby is open and airy with a full view of the ocean. With sofas looking towards the ocean, you can easily view the sunset from the lobby (or or at the beach). You see the layered infinity pools which makes Andaz Hotel one of the luxury hotel in Maui. Call me naive or inexperienced hotel traveler, but it truly makes you feel like you are in a dream.

ROOMS
You can choose from deluxe guest rooms, suites or villas for your stay. I stayed at the pool suite and as you enter, the gasp is automatic. If you want to see the pool suite rooms, you can check our youtube video of the tour. The room is connected to a small private-ish pool and our own sun-bed. It is on the adult only pool (even though the main infinity pool is quite with no interruption from the kids), so it is extremely quite. The bathroom has a rain shower and a bathtub. You can open up the bathroom if you want to sexy spice it up with your booboo or simply want to shower with a view (Please let me know if you want a bigger size pictures).
The Room is So Relaxing and Comfortable, You Will Sleep Like a Log
The bed is so comfortable and the blind keeps it dark when you want to sleep in. One day, I slept like a log till 1:00PM and missed the breakfast! Don’t forget the windows open fully and makes you feel like you are outdoor but inside.
POOL & BEACH
When you go to the pool, there are 5 pools and one being the only adult pool. The other 4 infinity pools are for everyone, but the kids are mostly at the pool on the bottom cause it is shallow. You can see the pools bring an infinity view and it truly is breathtaking. OK, you get it. It is breathtaking 🙂 I won’t say that anymore
The hotel has it’s own beach on Mokapu Beach and the guests can enjoy the warm water and sunbath but also they offer free kayaking, surf lessons, snorkeling and more if you are into activities. I went on kayaking and saw several turtles. It was truly b..r..e…a… STOP! ok you get it!
RESTAURANTS
There are nice restaurants around the hotels from the mall to monkey bar. But if you are feeling like just staying at the hotel, there are six restaurants you can choose from the room service to Morimoto. I am sure you will end up enjoying one of the bar or lounges while you are chillaxing on the pool, but you have to make a reservation for Morimoto at least one night. Either the chef’s table or regular meal, it is worth a try. If you are having a meal, ask for an outdoor space as it is literally romantic on steroid times two

The breakfast at Ka’ana Kitchen was one of the best breakfast hotel I have ever been. You don’t usually get excited for breakfast at a hotel. Mostly because it is almost the same buffet where ever you go. But at Andaz, it was totally different. From fresh fruit juice to organic eggs, it was fantastic. I believe it is a Hawaiian thing as other hotels like Grand Wailea had great breakfast.
