El Vilsito

It is not close to any of the neighbourhood I recommended neighbourhood to stay, so you will probably need an uber to get to El Vilsito

But if you are staying a little longer in Mexico City I want to highly recommend this place.

It is a taqueria that has been converted from an auto repair shop.

The portions are big and the best part was the vibe.

It made me realize why I came to Mexico city.

Even though you need an Uber to get here, we had no problem. We stayed in Roma district and it took about 15 minutes to get to El Vilsito.

Tacos El Güero

If there is one restaurant that I had to go, it would be La Polar cause so many of my friends told me to go to La Polar .

But every time we went everything was sold out (We tried twice) and was cleaning to close down.

So the second time we went, we were too hungry and ended up at Tacos El Güero.

It was absolutely amazing.

Below is the menu.

Because this was also not on the recommended list from my friends, we weren’t sure what to order.

But someone on the line helped us, and this is the dishes we ordered.

  • Suadero Taco
  • Campechanos Taco
  • Bistec Con Queso
  • Quesadilla

Suadero Taco was the best among all the Taqueria we went in Mexico City.

How to order at Tacos El Güero? You order on the left side. They will give you a ticket and wait for your name to be called.

Coyoacan Market

I know Coyoacan market is not the best street tacos in Mexico City.

But after shopping at Coyoacan market, you will be hungry for sure.

so without any research, we went the busiest taco shop called Antojitos Sandy was the busiest.

It was great, but I think it was more catered for tourists.

The food was still good.

But after reading some Reddit posts El Jardín del Pulpo and quesadillas Lucha (famous for cheese quesadillas and brisket taco) are famous.

Los Cocuyos

Los Cocuyos gone famous cause of Anthony Bourdain made an episode about it.

I know I see a lot on Reddit that this isn’t the best and there are others that are better. But so what?! We just want the experience (I still made a list below on the alternative).

They specialise in more unusual parts of cows like tongue, cheek or eye muscle.
