I wrote a blog post before on hotels with indoor / outdoor pools, but people complained that it was too expensive. So today I will give you my top 5 budget hotels in Seoul. Of course with pools!
1. Novotel Seoul Ambassador Gangnam
One of the important thing while traveling is to get a comfortable bed.
We can go to cute budget boutique hotels, but it is not guaranteed to have a nice bed.
This is why sometimes it is safer with famous brands. Novotel Seoul Ambassador Gangnam is one of them.
Novotel Gangnam not only has a decent size rooms with bed, they also have an indoor heat pool.
Their indoor pool has a window ceiling, so it feels like you are using an outdoor pool.
Among all the hotels in Seoul with a pool, Novotel Seoul offers the best price.
They have good spa where rich local moms come and enjoy. There is an outdoor jacuzzi, but only opens during dummer.
2. Novotel Yongsan and Dondaemun
There is Novotel Yongsan (indoor pool) and Dongdaemun (indoor and outdoor poo), but there are a little bit more expensive (20 – 50 dollars).
If you can afford to add few more bucks on your budget, I recommend going to Novotel Yongsan or Dongdaemun.

3. Fraser Place Central Seoul
Fraser Place is a aprtment style hotel, so you will be able cook.
Fraser Place also has an indoor pool, but one thing that is slightly disappointing is that it is in the basement.
So there is no light coming in. If you are looking for serious swimming I guess it won’t matter much.
If you are planning to cook and do laundry and looking for a pool, I would highly recommend Fraser Place.
4. Hamilton Hotel
Because of the location (Itaewon) of Hamilton Hotel, it is really popular among travellers.
It has an adult only outdoor pool and they are known to throw some wild pool parties.
The location is perfect, the pool is nice but the rooms are not the best.
It has been renovated, but for some reason it still feels old and tired.
But I would still highly recommend it because of the location.
4. Mondrian Hotel
It is a brand new hotel that opened during pandemic.
But even during the pandemic, it was one of the hottest hotel in town.
It is close to Itaewon (about 20 minute walk), and has an indoor and outdoor pool.
The rooms are slightly smaller than Novetel hotel rooms, but I think it is not bad at all.
Also, it is targeted towards Genz and Millennial who like to post things on instagram.
Conclusion.
Personally, I really loved Mondrian hotel. I had a very young vibe and easy going service.
Also the close proximity to Itaewon made the whole experience convenient.
If you are like me, I would recommend Mondrian hotel. If you are slightly older and want just comfort and simplicity, I would recommend Novotel.
