If you drive outside of Miami and go to Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach, you will be surprised to see even more beautiful beaches. So we had an opportunity to go and stopped by some of the most famous comfort food in town.

LITTLE MOIRS’ FOOD SHACK – PALM BEACH 

Palm Beach is enjoying its 15 minute fame because of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago. President Trump is escaping the White House to be at the Mar-a-Lago every chance he gets. And we wonder why he would leave a place (White House) where everybody wants to live. I get it why because I went to Jupiter which is 5 minutes away from Palm Beach, and it is beautiful. It is very different than Miami where it’s overly crowed with travelers. It is calmer and quieter.

Jupiter is a small town not far from Palm Beach with beautiful ocean front. It is also known for their shark viewing tours and the light house. So, we went to see the sharks in Jupiter and accidentally stumbled upon Food Shack.

Food Shack Is ALL about the Best Food and Best Fish

From outside, it just looks like a generic restaurant on a strip mall. We were a bit hesitant to go in because it just looks like another boring restaurant that we can go anywhere. But when you go in, it looks like they put their soul into the restaurant. Like the name shack, they made it look like a tiki bar/restaurant in a tropical island.

We went around 5, and it was absolutely packed. So we decided to just sit at the bar and eat.If you sit at the bar, you will see the cooks making your dish. It is sometimes chaotic when you sit at the counter and watch the chefs cook. But these guys were so calm and prepared. The food didn’t take no longer than 10 minutes and I was truly surprised how well organized they were (I just thought it would not be clean because of the name).

We ordered the fish (Tuna) and the Angel Hair Pasta, and it was fresh and tasty. But the French Onion Soup is the B.O.M.B! You must try it! The best part of the menu is that you can order any type of fish.

FORT LAUDERDALE – COCONUT RESTAURANT

Fort Lauderdale is known for the beach and the gays. So I tried the bars and clubs in the town, and then went to the Coconut Restaurant which is known for their heavy juicy comfort food. You could say why do we have to go all the way to Fort Lauderdale, but the view is MUHUA! Exquisite!

We had to wait an hour to get seated outdoors, but it was worth it. It was a sunny day and watching people sailing was an extra delight. It makes you feel like living life. Everything on the menu looked superb, but we ordered the lobster roll and the coconut shrimp. It surely didn’t disappoint us.
