[Unusual Things to do in London #6] Is Going to Mr. Fogg’s Residence Worth the Menu Price?

Gin is one of the most beloved alcohol in England. And you will see a lot of gin bars in London. They even have a gin tour in London. So while I was visiting London, I had to try one of the most famous gin bar in London, Mr. Fogg’s.

Mr. Fogg’s actually has a lot of different bars from Mr. Fogg’s gin parlor to Mr. Fogg’s Residence. But I chose to go to Mr. Fogg’s Residence because of their extravagant interior.

Mr. Fogg’s Residence is located in an Interesting Alleyway

After you pass through an alleyway in Mayfair, which I thought I was lost at first, you get a “supposedly” a residence. You will be greeted with a bowler-hat wearing doorman who was funny and chatty. After he welcomes you to Mr. Fogg’s Residence, we enter the residence.

It Has an Overall Theme of 80 Days Around the World (Correct Me If I’m Wrong)

Inside is like an old voyager’s residence with many antiques and stuffed animals. The music is Electronic Swinger which was hard to resist not to dance. The songs at Mr. Fogg’s Residence made a lot of people shake their toots. If you are curious about Electronic Swinger musics, you can watch my video below to listen.

If Jackie Chan from 80 days around the world had a home, I imagine it would be like this. It had a huge hot air balloon in the corner where Jackie Chan probably rode while he was traveling around the world for 80 days.

Themed bars and restaurants seemed to be a trend right now in London. I recently went to a Murder Express restaurant where actors parody the Murder on the Orient Express. If you are curious about being immersive, you have to read about Murder Express restaurant

The Interior is Extravagant, but the Drinks Are even More Flamboyant

This unmarked townhouse is full of character and energy, but it’s the drink that makes it different. If the interior is extravagant, the drinks are extravaganza! It is over the top for a drink.

Spend Some Time in Mayfair Before Heading to Mr. Fogg’s Residence

I think it is a great way to end your day after finding seven noses in Soho. or shopping in Mayfair which is like the 5th Ave in NYC. If you are planning to do some shopping in Mayfair, don’t forget to stop by at Fortnum & Mason and buy some tea.

The Menu Price Is Not Cheap, But with the Ambiance and the Well Made Cocktails, This Is Worth a Visit

Of course it doesn’t come with a cutesy price tag. But hey, if you are going all out spectacular, go big with your wallet as well (Well, I only had two drink and had to sashay away to a cheaper bar but..).

It is definitely worth a visit, because the whole ambiance is excellent and will guarantee you will have a great service and time. But I don’t know if you are able to get totally pissed here unless you drop about 150 pounds.

Like the whole 80 days around the world vibe, there are more than 80 different kinds of cocktails. And as you have guessed it is inspired by 80 days around the world. They have Gin cocktails, but also serve vodka and rum based cocktails as well. If you are looking for just Gin, I recommend Mr. Fogg’s Gin Parlour or London Gin Club

There are also normal alcohol from beer to wine, but if you are coming here, don’t be boring. Be adventurous and try something like BOO BOO on Bromo.
